How do I convert CSV to JSON?

Drop your CSV onto the converter or paste it and click Convert. Choose Array of objects to use the header row as keys, then download or copy the JSON.

Are numbers converted to JSON numbers?

Yes, with the types option on. Values like 42 or 3.5 become numbers and true/false become booleans. Values with leading zeros (00501) or very long numbers stay as strings so they aren't changed.

What if my CSV has no header row?

Choose Array of arrays. Every row, including the first, becomes a list of values.

Does it handle commas and line breaks inside values?

Yes. Quoted fields are parsed according to the CSV standard, so "Smith, John" stays one value.

Is my file uploaded?
