FAQ

Questions

How do I convert JSON to Excel?

Drop your JSON file onto the converter or paste it and click Convert, then click Download Excel file. You get an .xlsx file with one row per record.

Can Excel open JSON directly?

Excel for Windows can import JSON through Data › Get Data › From File › From JSON, which opens Power Query. It works, but takes several steps for nested data. This converter does it in one.

What happens to nested objects and lists?

Nested objects become columns like items.sku. Lists of simple values are joined with semicolons; lists of objects are kept as JSON text in one cell.

Is my JSON uploaded?

No. The conversion runs in your browser.
